Hatton Lea Care Home in Bellshill threw open its doors recently for a highly successful open day.

Families and members of the local community all mingled with the residents and enjoyed a range of entertainment and activities.

The day included a garden party while residents and visitors were entertained by local couple Carbon Copy.

Children from Noble Primary showed off some of their Commonwealth Games art work and there were also items on display from Orbiston YMCA out of school
care.

Pupils from St Gerard’s Primary sang songs and children from both schools took part in a games afternoon on the theme of the Commonwealth Games.

Staff from the home’s Mossend House facility also entertained by doing karaoke and the day, held as part of National Open Day, was voted a huge success by staff, residents and all who attended.
