AN OLYMPIC athlete visited a Motherwell school to share her experiences of competing in the prestigious event.

Team GB 400m runner Lee McConnell visited Muirhouse Primary for a special online Glowing Thursday event.

Lee shared her story and aspirations for London 2012 with 42 schools from across the country who logged on to their intranet Glow to hear her seminar at Muirhouse.

The schools also learned how they can get involved in the build up to the Olympics by staging their own games during Bank of Scotland National School Sport Week, which is delivered in partnership with SportScotland through the Active Schools network in June.
