The late Tommy Burns was a popular visitor to Christ the King Primary School in Holytown in April 2002.

The Celtic and Scotland legend was there on behalf of SCIAF to accept a £1,500 donation from the school’s Lenten Charities appeal.

Pupils also handed over a £300 donation to Ronnie Cook, fundraiser from St Andrew’s Hospice.
