A JERVISTON family have made an emotional donation to St Andrew’s Hospice.

The Harvie family raised over £3,600 as a thank you for the care of their daughter and sister Nicola Harvie Cowan.

Nicola passed away last June, aged just 33, after a battle with cancer and brain tumours, spending her final weeks at the Airdrie hospice.

The family were so grateful for the support provided by doctors and nurses that they organised a fundraising night at the Newarthill Club last October.

Nicola’s sisters Michelle Prentice, Lynne Harvie and Lee Ann Harvie made an emotional return to the Hospice last Thursday to hand over a cheque for £3,632.
