New menus at Wishaw General Hospital have been praised by visitors, staff and patients.
Changes were made after patients and members of the public were asked for their views on hospital food and the new menus were put to the test at a tasting session.
Food on offer included, soup, sandwiches, omelettes, salad, and baked potatoes followed by a hot dessert.
Ursula Dent, a visitor from Mossend, said: “I tried the soup and it was lovely. I was really impressed with the standard and choice of all the food.”
Marie Moynagh, also from Mossend,added: “All the food was lovely and fresh. I was surprised at how many different options were available to choose from.
“If it was served up to patients I don’t think there would be many complaints.”
