A KIND-hearted Motherwell woman has knitted over 100 items for babies living in poverty.
Myff Allcock was spurred into action after reading a heartbreaking newspaper article about children in Africa and now has a vast stock of handmade vests and hats.
And she is hoping a local church or charity group will help her deliver the items after learning of the expensive transport costs.
Myff, who volunteers with the Salvation Army in Hamilton, said: “I don’t have the money to send them over to Africa, and wondered if there were any charities out there planning to make deliveries to Africa that they could go with, or anyone who could cover the cost.”
