MEMBERS of a Bellshill mothers’ group have completed a course aimed at making it easier for them to answer questions from their children about growing up.

The Manic Mums group meets in Orbiston Business Centre on Thursdays from 7.15 to 9.15pm and recently completed a Speakeasy Course in partnership with NHS Health Promotion and the Community Learning and Development Bellshill Locality.

This course helps mums, dads and carers to start talking about growing up, relationships and sex whatever age their children are.

It is delivered in a relaxed and informal way for them to get the confidence and knowledge they need to face those tricky talks and awkward questions.

For more information on the Manic Mums (21+) call North Lanarkshire Council community capacity worker Irene Lester, on 01698 274662.

For further information on the Speakeasy course call Helen How on 01698 352533.

And for a full round-up of district news see this week’s Motherwell Times or Bellshill Speaker.
