Hard to believe now that it was only last weekend we were still gripped by what seemed like a never ending heatwave and there was lots to in Motherwell town centre at the Fair Day celebrations.
Shoppers of all ages were well catered for with a wide variety of entertainment laid on for the day.
Whether determined to celebrate the Fair or just out for a bit of shopping, the holiday mood captured everyone’s interest - from cafe customers enjoying the rare treat of being able to dine outside, to police officers on duty at the Fair stalls with their message about summer safety.
Mobile music added a cheerful backdrop to proceedings, with the likes of Lauren Whelan entertaining passers-by under the TCA Local Streets Alive banner.
And for the children the whole day was like one big holiday camp, with everything from face painting to a climbing wall, along with Merlin, the kids’ entertainer, to the ever-popular giant inflatables to enjoy.
