A NEW Stevenston family has issued a heartfelt thank you to the local community for its overwhelming support.

The family of Josh Irving (17) started a fundraising mission after the Taylor HS pupil was told his treatment for Hodgkin’s Cell lymphoma had been unsuccessful.

The teenager was diagnosed with the condition just over a year ago and underwent gruelling treatment including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and stem cell transfusion.

However, doctors recently broke the devastating news that Josh’s treatment had not been a success, and in fact, the cancer had returned and was more aggressive than the first time around.

Determined Josh would experience all he wanted in life, the family began fundraising so he could work his way through a wish list.
