MOTHERWELL residents are furious after being plagued by a sewage problem for months.

Waste has been pouring from a drain in the common drying area of their flats in Lamlash Place.

They say that despite alerting North Lanarkshire Council to the problem and the possible dangers to health, no solution has been found.

Resident Billy Young said workmen have been out several times to clean up the mess, but the problem has always returned.

They’re hoping that contractors sent out on Friday will sort it once and for all.
