PUPILS and staff at Bellshill’s Noble Primary really entered into the spirit of World Book Day last week by ensuring that the event was fun as well as educational.

In common with other schools throughout North Lanarkshire and beyond, Noble turned the day into a fancy dress occasion.

Both pupils and staff at the school were invited to don costumes of characters in some of their favourite books.

With chosen characters and books at Noble ranging from ‘Where’s Wally’ and ‘Robin Hood’ to ‘Tracy Beaker’ and ‘Katie Morag’ there was plenty of variety and colour.

And with encouraging reading ultimately being the most important element of the annual celebration, staff and boys and girls also took in copies of their favourites books to read.
