An investigation has been launched following a break-in at Tannochside Primary School.
The building was targeted around 7.30pm on Sunday. As we went to press, council staff were carrying out an inventory to identify if anything had been stolen, but it was thought computer equipment had been swiped.
Councillor Jim Logue, convener of learning and leisure services said: “This is a new school at the heart of the community, and the equipment stolen and damaged was for the education of local young people.
“I would urge everyone to keep an eye out and look after our schools during the holidays.”
Police are hunting two suspects - both around 17, slim with brown hair. One was wearing a grey hooded top with red stripes on the arms and blue jogging bottoms, the other a black tracksuit. Information can be reported on 101.
