A new natural play area has been completed in Motherwell’s Clyde Park.
The project, near the Hamilton Road entrance to Strathclyde Park, has included the installation of wood equipment and the creation of natural play features such as mounds and tree stumps. Workers also refurbished the park’s pavilion.
New barbecues and seating areas are designed to encourage people to visit the play area and the work was funded by North Lanarkshire Council.
The official opening was attended by Councillor Jim Logue, convener of the council’s learning and leisure services, Councillor Helen McKenna convener of environmental services, and Councillors Alan Valentine, Paul Kelly and Michael Ross.
