The Lanarkshire Forum for Independence is holding a ‘Yes to Independence’ public meeting in the GLO Centre, Motherwell.
Taking place on Monday, March 31, at 7.30pm it follows on from the Forum hosting a well attended debate about the issue in the same venue last month.
The panel of speakers will be Glasgow Govan MP Jim Sillars, Jimmy Reid Foundation director Robin McAlpine and Cat Boyd of the Radical Independence Campaign.
RMT general secretary Bob Crow was due to appear prior to his sad death.
The Forum’s Dominic Milligan said: “We believe there is a positive case to be made for an Independent Scotland and that with independence we will be able to build a more fair and just society.
“This public meeting with an excellent panel of speakers is an opportunity for voters, decided or undecided, to hear the case, ask questions and express views.
“Our message to voters is: come along and join the debate on Scotland’s future.”
The independence referendum takes place on September 18.
