PEELING OFF . . . Andrew shows damage to a bedroom ceiling.

A BELLSHILL dad has called on North Lanarkshire Council to finally replace his roof - more than six months after it was damaged.

Andrew Walker (32) says the roof of his home on McKenzie Terrace was wrecked as storms battered the county at the beginning of January.

Despite reporting it to the authority at the time, he says the situation still hasn’t been satisfactorily resolved.

The council says a full new roof is required at Andrew’s flat, but work has been delayed, in part, due to the amount of work required to be carried out throughout North Lanarkshire following the bad weather.

For the full story, see the July 11 edition of the Bellshill Speaker.
