Francesca’s charity fun day helps others

THE final year of school is probably the most memorable, and a sixth year pupil at Taylor High has made her’s one not to forget - by organising a fundraiser which has collected £3,000 for Yorkhill’s Children Foundation.
Kind-hearted Francesca McGorry (17) held a fundraising fun day on Saturday at the school for fellow pupil Scott Hart and hopes the money will go towards making patients’ lives better while they are being treated in the hospital’s Schiehallion ward.
Scott (13), who is in second year, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in the summer of 2009 while he was making the transition from primary 7 to first year.
