Bridge drama causes traffic chaos

TRAFFIC around Strathclyde Park came to a standstill around rush hour last night (Wednesday) after a man apparently threatened to jump from the bridge at the dual carriageway.

Emergency services were called to the scene and fortunately, the 36-year-old came off the bridge voluntarily.

The road was reopened while the man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital.
