Bellshill firm opens new training centre

BELLSHILL company Thermsaver have opened a new training centre to help the heating industry move towards using more renewable energy.

Thermsaver will offer a one day introduction and two day fully technical courses to engineers and specifiers involved in the application, installation and commissioning of air and ground source heat pumps.

The training centre in Righead Industrial Estate was opened last week by Bellshill MSP Michael McMahon and Thermsaver has already received close to 40 applications for training.

Director Graham Curtis said: "Because it is such a new industry a lot of heating and plumbing engineers will need to update their skills and the training is really being offered to those companies who are looking a bit further into the future."

Mr McMahon added: "Thermsaver are setting a fine example for the type of investment that we need in order to have progressive and sustainable local companies in the years ahead."
