A big blue sale
ANDERSON Precision Gearing (APG) Ltd has purchased The Big Blue Shed in Bellshill Industrial Estate in a deal worth £2 million.
Jones Lang LaSalle acted on the sale of the 143,700 sq ft unit which APG will use it as a base to continue its operations in the specialist gear manufacturing sector.
The Big Blue Shed provides APG with a combination of warehouse and industrial space including a recently refurbished ancillary office, a dedicated covered loading bay, private car parking, five interlinking loading bays, 10m eaves and an operational sprinkler system.
The industrial estate is already home to a number of recognisable names including Morrisons, Wiseman Dairies, DHL Exel, Brake Brothers and TNT.
Paul Sweeney, surveyor from Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “The Big Blue Shed offers APG an excellent opportunity to run their operations from one of the best known and well located industrial properties within Central Scotland.
“The first class location, scale and specification of the building were all important factors in APG’s decision to purchase.
“The sale signals good news for the industrial property market and the manufacturing sector in Scotland, and proves there is still demand for good quality second-hand industrial buildings such as The Big Blue Shed.”
