LADIES from throughout Lanarkshire made a great impression the annual charity lunch in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice.

The ladies’ day and fashion show at Dalziel Park Country Club in Motherwell was another resounding success as 265 women did their bit to help the Airdrie-based charity.

This year the event raised £23,575, and after running for nine years over that time nearly £170,000 has been raised for the hospice.

Guests were entertained by a fabulous fashion show provided by Wallis, with The SongStarz and Yin Yang Dave performing the cabaret and DJ Brian Gillen spinning some records.

The female audience also heard from fundraiser Bobby Mason about the work of the hospice and professional toastmaster John Coyne acted as master of ceremonies at the event, sponsored for the fourth year by Morrison plc who were represented by Elaine Byrne.

The organisers would like to thank individuals and businesses for all their support in making the day such a success.
