UP-AND-COMING rockers John’s Weans are planning to storm the legendary Glasgow venue King Tut’s with a blistering set.
The Uddingston band are still riding high from a successful first attempt at introducing their indie rock in the USA where they played a handful of gigs in Los Angeles.
Fronted by Jude Smith and Conor Cartwright on guitars and vocals, with Stuart Anderson on guitar and Simon Coakley on drums, the four piece will travel to Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire in May.
But before that they’re planning to take the roof off King Tut’s when they take to the stage tomorrow (Friday).
Front man Conor said: “The Americans loved us and we will return. The music scene there is bouncing but Glasgow is where it’s at for us at the moment.
“We can’t wait to get on stage at King Tut’s and introduce our fans to some of our new songs and show them how far we’ve come.”
The gig starts at 8.30pm and tickets costing £5 are available from www.kingtuts.co.uk.
