A SOCIAL enterprise company has been set up in Motherwell to help people get back into work.

Suited and Booted North Lanarkshire, in Merry Street, offers free interview clothing for the most disadvantaged clients as well a range of training including interview techniques, CV preparation, application form completion and job searching.

The project has been funded initially by FirstPort and UnLTD who are financed by the Scottish Government.

Co-founder David Neary said: “I come from Motherwell myself, so thought this was the perfect place to open the office.

“It is a chance for us to help many people in this area and we’ll be looking to identify more funding streams to meet demand.”

Suited and Booted was opened by Motherwell and Wishaw MP Frank Roy who was delighted to get behind it.

He said: “I genuinely hope they will be able to help a great many people in Motherwell and Wishaw to get a job.” Full story in November 3 edition of Motherwell Times
