EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week the organisation is seeking a loving owner for a rabbit who has been without a home for 10 months.

Jasmine arrived at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton last May after being found straying. She was initially rehomed but later returned as she wasn’t getting along with the other rabbit in the household.

Staff at the centre are now hoping they can find the friendly bunny a new home before she reaches her one year anniversary in their care.

Centre assistant manager Lorraine Alba said, “Jasmine is looking for a family home where she can play and have a good run around before relaxing.

“As Jasmine didn’t enjoy living with another rabbit previously, we would like to find her a home where she is the only bunny, with an owner who will ensure she receives plenty of interaction and companionship.”

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday, 10am-4pm.
