THE Central Scotland Forest Trust celebrated last week reaching the significant milestone of helping to create more than 6,500 hectares of woodland.

The environmental charity has seen 16.5 million trees planted since it was established in 1991.

It has delivered 750km of improvements to pathways, road corridors and hedgerows, and been involved with the active regeneration of almost 1,100 hectares of derelict land.

These changes have vastly altered the landscape, creating an area which is enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts.
