Taylor High pupil Imogen Collins has been using her artistic talents to bring a splash of colour to North Lanarkshire Council’s Christmas cards.

Schools across the area were invited to design cards this year to be sent across the UK and beyond, with Imogen being one chosen as one of eight winners for her drawing of Motherwell Heritage Centre.

The other winners were Alice Walker (Stane Primary), Emma Stewart, Heather Stewart and Samuel Wood (Clarkston Primary) Kaitlyne Robertson (Glengowan Primary), Tom Laing and Katrina McArthur (Rochsolloch Primary).

North Lanarkshire provost Jim Robertson said: “I was delighted to welcome our talented young people to Motherwell Civic Centre to thank them personally for designing our cards this year. All the designs are brilliant and show how creative and skilful our pupils are.

“To see their work in print will hopefully encourage our pupils to continue developing the talent they have. On behalf of everyone at the council I would like to wish all our residents a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy and happy new year.”
