Holy Week services at Cathedral

During Holy Week services are held each day in Motherwell Cathedral which everyone is welcome to attend.

On Holy Thursday (tomorrow), Mass of the Chrism, where all the priests of the diocese renew their priestly promise, takes place at 11.30am and the Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at 7.30pm.

Night Prayers of the Church will be said at 10.30pm.

On Good Friday, Morning Prayer of the Church will be said at 10am.

Stations of the Cross and Veneration of the Cross will be held at noon and at 3pm there will be the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion and Death, Veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion.

At 7.30pm there will be Prayer around the Cross and Veneration of the Cross.

On Holy Saturday, Morning Prayer of the Church will be said at 10am and the Easter Vigil will be held at 9pm.

Easter Sunday Masses will be at 10am, 11.30am and 6.30pm.
