Hardy’s hoping for a new home

FRIENDLY PUP . . . Hardy seeks a new home.
FRIENDLY PUP . . . Hardy seeks a new home.

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week is the turn of Staffie cross Hardy, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

The centre’s Gillian Boyle said: “Hardy is handsome Staffie cross aged between 12 and 18 months. He arrived in our care after being found as a stray.

“Hardy can be a little jumpy at times and is quite timid with people he doesn’t know. However, he has really started to come out of his shell with staff here and once he comes around he is such a friendly boy.

“He is clean in his kennel and walks well on his lead, and we just hope someone out there can give this gentle boy a second chance.

“Due to him being quite shy, he would be best suited to a home without young children.”

If you can give Hardy a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 10am until 4pm.
