Give an animal a second chance

THIS week’s pets in need of a home are gorgeous guinea pigs Cherub and Angel.

The pair are being looked after at the Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton after being callously dumped.

Carol Porter, assistant manager at the centre, said: “Cherub and Angel are two female guinea pigs who came into our care after they were found abandoned in a cardboard box by the side of the road.

“Cherub and Angel are quite nervous girls and are not used to being handled. They’ll need a loving new owner who can spend lots of time handling them and grooming them daily.”

If you can give Cherub and Angel a loving home, call the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 10am until 4pm.
