SANTA has taken a break from his Christmas preparations to make a special visit to a Motherwell school.

Pupils at Firpark School were all delighted and surprised when Santa and one of his elves dropped in to see them and delivered some early Christmas gifts.

Each of the schools visited by Santa received a number of pantomime tickets for Beauty and the Beast at Motherwell theatre, as well as chocolate selection boxes all of which were kindly provided by Morrison Scotland.

John Boyd, managing director of Morrison Scotland said: “We were delighted to be able to help Santa with his delivery of gifts to the schools and it was great to see how much the children enjoyed meeting him.”
