Former company captain David Sneddon has been honoured for his 50-year association with 1st Bothwell Boys’ Brigade.

David joined the company as a youngster and these days is still very much involved as a lieutenant. He lives in Motherwell and also plays a role at national level as chairman of the BB Scotland committee.

David received the Captain’s Award to mark his many years of service from current captain Robin McLean at the Bothwell company’s end of year inspection and presentation of prizes. He is flanked by company section members Ian Bannister, left, and Scott Leggate who each received the Queen’s Award. Inspecting officer was Bill Stevenson, director of BB Scotland.
