CLELAND schoolboy Caden Beggan was laid to rest on Monday.

Thousands of mourners in the local area and worldwide were united in grief as the service took place at Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church.

As reported in the Times, the Ladywell Primary School pupil sadly passed away following a four-week battle with meningococcal septicaemia at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital last week.

While the Merry Street church was full to capacity, many lined the streets outside for hours in the cold to pay their respects to the six-year-old.
