Arnold Clark has donated a minibus to Firpark Secondary, after the school expressed their need for one to assist with pupils’ learning.

Firpark headteacher John Morley expressed his thanks to Arnold Clark, whose Motherwell Motorstore is based just a few minutes from the school.

He said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the mini bus we received from Arnold Clark.

“Our pupils’ learning experiences are enriched by involving them in the life of the local community and this new mini bus will make this so much easier.

”We attend local colleges to participate in a wide range of vocational courses and we enter sports competitions at both local and national level.

“Our new mini bus will be invaluable in transporting pupils to these events.’

Former Firpark pupil Allan Chalmers, who now works at Arnold Clark’s Motherwell Motorstore, was delighted to visit the pupils and be able to present them with the minibus.

He said: “Being able to lend a helping hand to organisations is always important, especially when it comes to youth learning and development.

“A minibus is a great gift to give, and meeting the teachers and pupils at the school allows for us to build a greater relationship with those in the local communities surrounding our branch.

“We are thrilled to have been able to make such a difference.”

Arnold Clark continuously aims to help local charities and organisations in and around its branches as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Firpark Secondary School is not the only one to have been gifted a new set of wheels by Arnold Clark.
