Bellshill’s Salvation Army’s community church and centre on Gladstone Street has a brand new look - thanks to a £1.3 million makeover.

Commanding officers Majors Chris and Lynda Connelly are delighted with the results of the 10-month building programme.

The married couple, who have three children and three grandchildren, believe the new building will become an asset for the whole community in Bellshill.

Major Chris said: “We’re excited to be in the new building and preparing to getting started with our plans for it.

“This as a great opportunity for the corps and the community as a whole.”
