Donnie looking for a home after a year at Hamilton centre

LONELY . . . Donnie.
LONELY . . . Donnie.

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week it is the turn of Donnie, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Centre manager Karen Russell said: “Donnie is a loving, settled dog who is desperate for a family of his own.

“Sadly, he has now been in our care for a whole year, which is truly heartbreaking.

“He could be rehomed with older children and he loves company so if his owner is home a lot then he’ll be a very happy chappie.

“At around six-years-old, Donnie knows all his basic commands and loves to play with his toys and go for walks.

“He would prefer to be the only pet in his new household - all the more attention for him!”

If you can offer Donnie a loving home, please call the SSPCA animal helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday, 10am until 4pm.
