Don’t chicken out of rehoming Sweet Pea

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week is the turn of Sweet Pea, who is being looked after at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Karen Russell, centre manager, said: “Sweet Pea is a handsome big cockerel.

“He came to the centre after being found as a stray and he now needs a new home.

“Sweet Pea is looking for somewhere free range where he can run, play and cock a doodle doo till his heart’s content.

“He may also enjoy the company of some happy hens, who he can show off to!”

If you can give Sweet Pea a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
