Every week the Times and Speaker team up with the Scottish SPCA - Scotland’s animal welfare charity - in a bid to rehome an unwanted pet.

And this week it’s the turn of Buzz, who is being cared for by staff at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Centre manager Peter Fleming said, “Buzz is a very handsome lad looking for a new home.

“He’s a clever wee guy who is eager to please and he’ll do tricks in exchange for a treat.

“He may need some further training but we’re sure he’ll pick up new tricks and commands easily.

“Buzz appears to be okay around other dogs and is clean in his kennel, suggesting house-training shouldn’t be an issue.

“He’s a very playful boy who loves to play with his toys.

“He is secretly a big softie and loves nothing more than lying across your knee for belly rubs and cuddles.

“Buzz would like a home without young children. If you could offer him a fresh start please call 03000 999 999.”
