PREPARATIONS for the annual science fayre at Dalziel High are once again well under way.

All first year pupils are working on researching their chosen topics and preparing their presentations for the fayre that will be held on Thursday and Friday, June 14 and 15.

Several groups this year had the opportunity to work with a representative from one of the fayre’s sponsors Crown House Technologies, a division of Laing O’Rouke.

The groups are looking at various aspects of the construction industry, including solar panels, fireproofing buildings and also building an eco-radiator.

The boys involved spent an afternoon working on various aspects of their projects gaining expert advice and gaining an insight into the industry as a whole.
