An investigation is taking place into how a teenager was injured during a police chase in the Uddingston area.
Police Scotland said officers responded to a report that a number of males were ‘acting suspiciously’ on Saturday, October 3.
A spokesman said: “After a short pursuit an 18-year-old man sustained injuries.”
The teenager was treated in hospital, but no more details were given. Police also refused to be more specific about where the incident took place.
The spokesman added that the matter has been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.
The commissioner’s office said an independent investigation into ‘police contact’ with the teenager is being held.
It added: “The matter has been referred by Police Scotland for investigation and a report on the PIRC’s findings will be submitted to the deputy chief constable in due course.”
