Two fans have each been banned from attending football matches for a year after being caught with lit flares on their way to watch Motherwell.
Clouds of bright smoke engulfed supporters in Airbles Road before the Europa League game against Icelandic side Stjarnan at Fir Park in July.
Neale Bolton and John Hurst were each given a one-year football banning order at Hamilton Sheriff Court when they admitted committing a breach of the peace by having flares.
Bolton (23), of Lysa Vale Place, Bellshill, also admitted throwing a lit flare on to the grass. He was fined £400 by Sheriff Douglas Brown.
Hurst (16), of The Loaning, Motherwell, was on bail at the time. Sheriff David Bicket orderered him to be of good behaviour and return to court in April.
