A man has appeared at court in connection with the death of a Motherwell woman whose body was recovered from the River Clyde in Uddingston.
Paul Connelly (49), who’s from the Uddingston area, is accused of murdering Eileen Glassford (60).
Her body was recovered from the river near Uddingston Grammar School on Monday evening.
Connelly, represented by solicitor Michael Higgins, made no plea during a private hearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
He was remanded in custody and is due in court again next week.
