A Motherwell law firm has maintained its position as one of the busiest legal practices in Scotland.

Bruce McCormack has moved up from 14th to 12th in the table of legal aid earners. It took in £962,900 during 2012-13, according to the Scottish Legal Aid Board’s annual report.

The firm deals solely with criminal work and director Diarmid Bruce pointed out: “We are the sixth biggest for criminal legal aid in Scotland and bigger than any Lanarkshire or Glasgow firm in that category.”

Bruce McCormack has a team of five lawyers, working between its Merry Street office and one in Glasgow.
