Andrew Wilson and Margaret Wragg from the Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust were very welcome visitors to Clyde Valley High last week.

They met depute headteacher Alan Carrol and his sixth year team who raised a magnificent final total of £4,835 during their Charities Week programme.

Andrew and Margaret expressed their deep-felt appreciation for the thoughtfulness of the sixth year in identifying their support group as this year’s chosen charity and highlighted the huge running costs of the service they provide to patients and their families.

Both visitors also enjoyed hearing of the zany adventures of staff and pupils during the week-long fundraising programme and laughed at the many photographs of staff and seniors pupils having fun together.
