LAST Saturday’s Champions League Final in Munich became a focus for those pupils in S1 studying German.

As part of their unit on leisure the pupils used this occasion to research German football vocabulary, using materials provided by the Goethe Institut in Glasgow.

The pupils took the topic one step further by watching the acclaimed football themed film ‘Das Wunder von Bern’ which is set in post-war Germany and deals with the German national football team’s success in the 1954 World Cup final in Berne.
