FIRST year German classes had a surprise ‘visitor’ last week in the shape of an iconic East German Trabant car.
The vehicle is the property of Colin MacLean, father of a first year pupil at Clyde Valley. who offered to take it in to allow the pupils to see it first hand.
Pupils have been learning about the history of Germany before reunification and looking at pictures of Trabants, which are now on display in Berlin.
Mr MacLean told them about the history of the Trabant, including many amusing anecdotes. The pupils were very interested in all he had to say and even got the chance to sit in the car.
