YOUNGSTERS at Cathedral Primary School in Motherwell have been learning all about road safety.
The school hosted a two-day event packed with advice and information aimed at keeping pupils safe.
Children enjoyed a ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ day, which was organised by the junior road safety officers as part of National Road Safety week.
All children in the school and nursery took part by wearing their brightest clothes and accessories.
The event was a huge success and raised £395, which has been used to purchase reflective items for pupils to attach to their bags and jackets.
In addition, North Lanarkshire Council road safety education officer Barbara Ramage visited Cathedral to teach children in the nursery and the P1, 2 and 3 classes some road safety games.
Every child in the school received a ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ eraser, while the children in the nursery received a reflective teddy bear that can be attached onto their jackets.
