Commonwealth Games boxing hero Charlie Flynn went back to his old school - and delighted pupils at Newarthill Primary by passing round his gold medal.
The 20-year-old lightweight champion was centre of attention at a special assembly which featured pupils singing their very own version of the pop classic Congratulations.
Charlie was happy to answer questions from the eager pupils and pose for photos with his old teachers.
And he encouraged everyone to work hard to achieve their goals.
He said: “It’s up to you to put in the effort. Whatever you do, the harder you work the greater will be your reward.”
