A CHARITY which supports the families of children and young people with disabilities in North Lanarkshire is looking to expand – after securing a grant for over £4,000.

Partners in Play will plan for its future growth with the help of a £4,285 grant from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland.

The charity provides a range of services including its Route 13 programme which offers respite to parents or carers of children or young people with disabilities.

Route 13 currently operates in Motherwell and Airdrie and is planning to expand into Cumbernauld, Wishaw and Coatbridge.

Manager Claire McAteer said: “We are really pleased to get this grant from the Foundation and to begin the process of planning for the future.

“There have been many changes in the organisation and, with new board members and plans to expand into new areas, this is an exciting time for us.”
