AN investigation has been launched after thieves made off with a four-figure sum of cash after breaking into a Cleland shop.
The Londis store on Main Street was targeted in the early hours of Friday morning.
And police believe a dog walker may have information that could help with their enquiries.
DS Stevie Tennat, of Wishaw police office, said: “We are appealing for support from the local community to identify the people responsible for the theft from Londis.
“We have reason to believe a man was walking his dog about 2.05am on Friday as the two thieves made off on foot. That man might hold the key to us identifying those responsible.”
“I would ask anyone with information to phone Wishaw CID on 01698 483000.”
Crimestoppers can also be called free and confidentially on 0800 555 111.
