A CARFIN fundraiser has notched up almost £10,000 for a charity which deals with one of Scotland’s biggest killers, but his sponsors are expecting him to complete a mountain of a challenge.

Colin Gardner and Eddie Brandon, a work colleague from Crown House Technologies Ltd in Eurocentral, will set out tomorrow (Friday) to trek to Everest base camp for the charity Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

And the pair have already raised over £9,900 and they haven’t even set foot on the mountain.

Colin (42) has become a bit of a serial fundraiser after he got together with colleagues at Crown House to create a team that work to raise funds for charity.

This is when team ABSELUT was born and the challenge set for this year was to spend 11 days trekking in the Himalayas to the height of 5,647m to the summit of Kalapatthar for a clear view of the ‘king of the hills’ - Everest.
