EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week is the turn of ferret Jimmy, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Centre assistant manager, Lorraine Alba, said: “Jimmy is a lovely ferret who came here after being found as a stray and his owner didn’t claim him. This inquisitive little guy loves to play and, with regular handling, will make a cracking wee friend.

“Ferrets make wonderful pets and companions and can even be taken for walks on a harness. Jimmy may be able to live with a fellow ferret friend as they are very sociable creatures.”

If you can give Jimmy a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
